Maintenance Week
19th-23rd February
We are all seeing the benefit to the playing surfaces that the maintenance is providing. Although sometimes frustrating, this must be continued to keep the course improving and your patience and cooperation with this is much appreciated.
We have moved it forward a month this year for two reasons…1) to hopefully ensure good greens earlier in the season & 2) the temperatures have been consistently higher over the last 5 years at the end of February, than they have been at the end of March. So it is hoped this will aid a quicker recovery.
Below is the information on works to be carried out during course
Maintenance week
Please give way to operators at all times
Greens and Aprons
Monday: Verti drain (deep tine) to 7 inches, Hollow core 4 inches and clear, top dress and brush (Front 9 Closed)
Tuesday: Verti drain (deep tine) to 7 inches, Hollow core 4 inches and clear, top dress and brush (Back 9 Closed)
Wednesday: Back up day for Monday/Tuesday work if weather delays
Thursday: Back up day for Monday/Tuesday work if weather delays

Following the works the greens will be sandy and a little bumpy for a few weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Please remember these works are essential for our greens to continue to improve!
Work on the tees will follow in subsequent weeks, but will not affect play:
• Tees – Verti drain, Hollow tine to remove thatch and for soil exchange, top dressed, over seeded with rye, bent and fescue mix and fertilised
All works are subject to weather conditions
